UNIPORT Debunks Fake Reports on Clearance Fee For Final Year Students

The University of Port Harcourt administration has been made aware of an online report by Sahara Reporters alleging that final-year students are required to pay 649,400 Naira as clearance fees. We want to emphasize that this information is completely untrue.

At UNIPORT, we are committed to making higher education accessible and affordable for all. Our institution ensures that students are not burdened with exorbitant school fees, as we offer some of the lowest fees among federal universities in Nigeria. In addition, we provide various scholarship opportunities to assist students facing financial challenges in covering their academic expenses.

Furthermore, we understand the financial strains that students may encounter, and thus we extend deadlines for fee payments to allow sufficient time for arranging finances. Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue their education without being hindered by financial obstacles.

We kindly remind students and the public to refer only to official communications from the University of Port Harcourt for accurate information on fees and financial matters.

The information provided by Sahara Reporters is entirely untrue and deceptive. The alleged medical clearance and admissibility fees are nonexistent. We strongly advise the media to thoroughly verify their stories before publishing. Thank you!
