The College of Professional and Continuing Studies (CPCS), Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State invites applications from suitably qualified candidates into the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs of for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Available PGD Programs
The following PGD programs are offered:
- Community Health Education (PGDCHE)
- Environmental Health (PGDEH)
- Information Management (PGDIM)
- Sports Management and Coaching (PGDMC)
- Procurement
- Security and Strategic Studies
- Professional Diploma in Procurement
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
Eligibility
1. PGDCHE – Community Health Education
Applicants must satisfy one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in community health or a science-related field such as public health, microbiology, parasitology, entomology, biotechnology, biology, chemistry, physics, or statistics from a recognized university; OR
- An HND with upper credit in a public health-related discipline from a recognized institution plus at least five (5) years work experience in an executive or supervisory role in the healthcare sector.
O’Level Requirement: Credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science.
Duration: 2 semesters
2. PGDIM – Information Management
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Third Class Degree in Library Science
- Degree in any field
- HND in any field
All candidates must meet the O’Level requirement.
Duration: 2 semesters
3. PGDMC – Sports Management and Coaching
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- An honours degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education with at least Second Class Lower Division.
- An honours degree in a relevant science field with Second Class Lower Division, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (credit level).
- A Third Class honours degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education plus at least two years work experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates may be required to attend a test or interview.
- Must have met matriculation requirements (SSCE and University).
- Must provide evidence of NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate.
Duration: 2 semesters
4. PGDE – Postgraduate Diploma in Education
- Degree in any field
- HND in any field
Duration: 2 semesters
Location
PGD programs are available only at the University Campus and Kano Study Centre. Candidates must select their preferred location carefully before submitting the application.
How to Apply
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦15,000.
Step 1: Create an Account
Register on the FUDMA CPCS application portal using a valid email address and phone number.
Step 2: Generate Invoice and Make Payment
After logging in, generate a payment invoice and complete the transaction using the available payment options.
Step 3: Verify Payment
Return to the portal to verify the payment. This step confirms the transaction in the system.
Step 4: Check Email for Login Instructions
An email will be sent containing application guidelines and instructions for creating the account password.
Step 5: Complete the Application
Log in with the registered email and password, fill in the required forms carefully, and upload a passport photograph.
Successful applicants can monitor their admission status on the portal.
