NECO Releases 2024 GCE Results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, commonly known as the NECO GCE. The announcement was made on February 14, 2025, during a press briefing at NECO Headquarters in Minna, Niger State, by the Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim.

Key Highlights of the 2024 NECO GCE Results:

  • Total Candidates Registered: 86,067
    • Male: 44,988
    • Female: 41,079
  • Candidates Who Sat for the Examination: 84,799
  • Candidates with Five Credits Including English and Mathematics: 57,114 (67.35%)
  • Candidates with Five Credits Regardless of English and Mathematics: 70,711 (83.39%)
  • Examination Malpractice Cases: 6,160, a 27.7% decrease from the previous year

How to Check Your 2024 NECO GCE Results:

  1. Obtain a NECO Result Token: Candidates need a token to access their results. Tokens can be purchased online through the NECO website or authorized vendors.
  2. Visit the NECO Result Portal: Navigate to https://results.neco.gov.ng/.
  3. Select Examination Details:
    • Examination Year: 2024
    • Examination Type: SSCE External (Nov/Dec)
  4. Enter Your Credentials:
    • Token Number
    • Registration Number
  5. View Result: Click on “Check Result” to display your performance.

Candidates are advised to print their results for official use and future reference. For any discrepancies or issues encountered during the result-checking process, contact NECO support through their official channels.
