    • Senior Scholars CNY 3,500 (~$525 USD.

🌍 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizens in good mental and physical health.
  2. Age Limit:
    • General Scholars: Under 45 years old.
    • Senior Scholars: Under 50 years old.
  3. Academic Status: Currently enrolled as full-time students or employed as full-time academic staff at one of CSC’s foreign partner universities.
  4. Admission: Must have obtained a pre-admission notice or invitation letter from a Chinese host university.

📝 Application Process

  1. Pre-Admission: Contact the desired Chinese host university to obtain a pre-admission notice or invitation letter.
  2. Online Application: Register and complete the application on the CSC Online Application System, uploading all required documents.
  3. Submission by Host University: The Chinese host university will review applications and submit nominations to CSC at least two months before the intended start date.
  4. Notification: CSC will inform the host universities of the scholarship results, who will then notify the applicants.

📅 Application Deadlies

The application portal is open year-round. However, specific deadlines may vary depending on the host university’s intake periods. For instance, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) has set the following deadlines:

  • July 5, 202: For September 2025 admission.
  • October 5, 202: For March 2026 (first batch) admission.
  • February 5, 202: For March 2026 (second batch) admission.

  • Valid Passport Copy.
  • Highest Degree Certificate and Academic Transcripts.
  • Study Plan or Research Proposal: Minimum of 500 words in English or Chinese.
