UNILORIN Tech Innovation Challenge 2025

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has unveiled the Tech Innovation Challenge 2025 (TIC2025), a competition designed to harness and showcase the technological ingenuity of its student body. Spearheaded by the Department of Telecommunication Science, TIC2025 invites students to develop innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges across various technological domains.

Participation Details

TIC2025 is open to all UNILORIN students. Participants can register individually or form teams comprising up to three members. Each team is required to include at least one member from the Department of Telecommunication Science, ensuring a blend of diverse perspectives and specialized knowledge.

Focus Areas

Teams are encouraged to develop projects within the following cutting-edge technological fields:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cybersecurity & Forensics
  • Blockchain Technology
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Networking & IT Solutions

These areas have been selected to align with current technological trends and to address pressing societal needs.

Awards and Recognition

The challenge offers substantial incentives to recognize and reward outstanding innovations:

  • First Prize: ₦500,000
  • Second Prize: ₦300,000
  • Third Prize: ₦200,000

Winners will be announced during the finale and award ceremony.

  • Submission Deadline: April 6, 2025
