FPTB (in Affiliation with NDA) Postgraduate Diploma Admission Form, 2025/2026

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB), in affiliation with the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has officially announced the commencement of the sale of admission forms for the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs for the 2025/2026 academic session. This collaboration provides aspiring postgraduate students with an opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and professional skills under an academic framework backed by two reputable institutions.

About the Program

The PGD programs are designed to bridge the gap between undergraduate studies and professional or academic advancement. This partnership between FPTB and NDA brings together technical expertise and military-grade discipline and standards, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped for both civil and defense-related careers.

Available PGD Programs

The following PGD programs are available for the 2025/2026 academic session:

  1. Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  2. Postgraduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  3. Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering
  4. Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration
  5. Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration
  6. Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science
  7. Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance
  8. Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication
  9. Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management
  10. Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management

Additional specialized PGD programmes may be introduced based on demand and accreditation updates.

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the PGD programmes must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (BSc, BEng, BA, etc.) from a recognized university in a relevant discipline with at least a Third Class (or its equivalent).
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) holders with a minimum of Lower Credit in a related discipline may also apply.
  • Applicants with professional qualifications and relevant work experience may be considered under special circumstances.
  • All applicants must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.

Duration of the Program

  • Full-Time PGD Programme: One academic session (Two semesters)
  • Part-Time PGD Programme: Two academic sessions (Four semesters)

Mode of Study

The programmes are delivered through a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face lectures, practicals, seminars, and online resources to offer a flexible and dynamic academic experience. Classes are held at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi campus, with periodic supervision from NDA.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are required to follow the application procedure below:

  1. Go to any GTBank branch and pay ₦10,000 into; Account Name: DLC/DUAL (FPTB)
  2. Account Number: 0554830633 for the application form
  3. Take your payment receipt to the Directorate of University Affiliations & Linkages at FPTB to collect your online application PIN
  4. Visit the FPTB PGD application portal and complete your form.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submission of completed application forms is 30th November 2025. No extensions are expected, so early application is advised.
