The CHO Program is designed to equip Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) and related professionals with advanced skills in community health practice. The program offers two tracks:
- One-Year Program: For candidates with higher qualifications in community health-related fields.
- Two-Year Program: For candidates with a diploma in community health or CHEW certification.
✅ Admission Requirements
One-Year Program
Applicants must possess:
- A Diploma in Community Health or Community Health Extension Worker Certificate.
- Five (5) credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A first degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health, or an HND in Community Health or a PGD in health-related courses.
- A valid practicing licence from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
Two-Year Program
Applicants must have:
- A Diploma in Community Health or Community Health Extension Worker Certificate.
- Five (5) credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A valid practicing licence from the CHPRBN.
💰 Application Fee
The application form costs ₦15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only.
📝 Application Procedure
- Obtain Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR): Visit the College of Community Health at JUTH to obtain an RRR.
- Payment: Pay the application fee using the RRR at designated banks.
- Receipt Collection: Present the payment evidence to the Accounts Department at JUTH to receive an official receipt.
- Form Collection: Collect the application form at the College of Community Health, JUTH, located at the JUTH Old Site, Muritala Muhammed Way, Jos.
- Form Submission: Complete and submit the application form by 30th May 2025.
