LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION 2024/2025

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of its postgraduate admission process for the 2024/2025 academic session. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission into the institution’s Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s (M.Sc., M.A., MBA, M.Ed.), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs in various fields of study.

Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

  • A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Third-Class division in a related discipline.
  • Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit may also apply.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc., M.A., MBA, M.Ed., LL.M.)

  • A minimum of Second-Class Lower (2.2) in a relevant field from a recognized university.
  • For professional Master’s programs, work experience may be an added advantage.

Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

  • Candidates with a Master’s degree and a CGPA of 3.0–3.49 on a 5.0 scale may be admitted into the MPhil program before proceeding to Ph.D.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

  • Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.
  • Research proposals and oral defense may be required.

  1. Visit the LASU Postgraduate Portal: Go to https://www.lasu.edu.ng.
  2. Generate Payment Invoice: Pay the application fee via the university’s online platform.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form: Fill in the required details and upload necessary documents.
  4. Submit Referee Reports: Applicants must provide referee reports from academic or professional references.
  5. Print the Application Form: After submission, print a copy for reference.
