The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that it will not enforce the NERD compliance rule for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ uploads. This decision came after the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) decided to delay the start of its new policy.
Earlier, the Federal Executive Council had approved October 6, 2025, as the date for all agencies to begin following the NERD compliance rule. Based on that, NYSC sent out a circular on October 7, 2025, asking all Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) to make sure their uploads met NERD requirements.
However, with NERD now postponing the implementation, NYSC has confirmed that CPIs can continue their normal upload process for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ without worrying about NERD compliance.
According to NYSC, this is a temporary change that follows official communication from the NERD Secretariat, which will later announce a new start date for the policy.
What This Means for Schools (CPIs)
All Corps Producing Institutions should continue with their regular registration and upload activities. Once NERD releases a new schedule, NYSC will share updates with everyone involved.
The NYSC thanked schools, administrators, and prospective corps members for their patience and cooperation, assuring them that it remains committed to clear communication and smooth mobilization.
