The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the physical verification exercise for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II prospective corps members (PCMs). The exercise is mainly for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates whose documents are still pending verification.
Below are the key details of the exercise.
Who Should Attend the Physical Verification
The verification exercise is meant for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates who uploaded their academic certificates and travel documents during online registration but are still waiting for physical verification.
NYSC stated that all affected Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) must appear at the verification center they selected during registration.
Verification Centers for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II
The verification exercise will take place at the following centres:
- Enugu – NYSC Secretariat, 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu, Enugu State
- Bauchi – Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi, Bauchi State
- Abuja (FCT) – NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa
- Kano – Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano State
- Lagos – NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos State
- Osogbo – NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osun State
- Port Harcourt – NYSC Secretariat, 40 Ikwerre Road, Rivers State
- Sokoto – Eagle Officers’ Mess, Giginya Cantonment, Gusau Road, Sokoto State
- Yola – NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Adamawa State
Notice
- NYSC instructed PCMs to report strictly on the date, time, and venue indicated on their verification slip.
- This rule is meant to keep the exercise organized and prevent overcrowding at the centers.
- PCMs must also come with all original academic credentials and travel documents that were uploaded or expected to be uploaded during the online registration process.
- Graduates of medical-related courses are required to upload their professional licences and registration certificates issued by their respective regulatory bodies.
- They must also bring the original copies of these documents to the verification center.
- PCMs who received Evaluation Letters from the Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria must submit the original copy at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja.
- After submission, they should upload the acknowledged copy of the letter on the NYSC portal.
NYSC explained that only candidates who are physically present, properly verified, and cleared with their documents will move to the next stage. Such candidates will either be deployed, exempted, or excluded from the National Service program.
