✅ Eligibility Criteria

For MSc Applicants:

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) in the first degree or Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience
  • Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
  • Computer literacy
  • Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
  • Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) detailing the relevance of the proposed study to the oil and gas industry and its expected impact on national development
  • National Identity Number (NIN) with verified status.

For Ph.D. Applicants:

  • Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
  • Computer literacy
  • Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
  • Minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in the first degree and a good postgraduate degree
  • Submission of a research proposal (maximum of 5 pages) relevant to the oil and gas industry, including topic, introduction, objective, methodology, and mode of data collection
  • National Identity Number (NIN) with verified status​

Note: Candidates with multiple applications will be automatically disqualified. Additionally, those who have been sponsored by PTDF in a specific category (MSc/Ph.D.) are ineligible to apply for the same or a lower category. Beneficiaries of other scholarships from similar organizations are also not eligible.

  3. WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results, including PINs for verification
