Rivers State University (RSU) has officially started its 2025/2026 clearance exercise for all newly admitted students. If you’ve accepted your admission, you are required to take part in the screening at the school’s ICT Centre with your original documents.
Venue for Clearance
The clearance will hold at the Information, Communication and Technology Centre (ICTC) inside the RSU campus. This is the first point of call for every new student. The process is usually orderly, but the first few days may be crowded — so it’s best to go early.
Required Documents
Come well-prepared, because the entire clearance process revolves around documents. You’ll need the following:
- JAMB Admission Letter (print from the JAMB portal)
- Original JAMB Result Slip
- Proof that you have accepted your admission on JAMB CAPS
- Original O’Level Certificates (not printouts)
- Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Acceptance Fee Receipt
Ensure that all documents match your admission details. Even minor errors, like name spelling, can delay the process.
Important Notice from RSU
RSU has made it clear:
- only candidates who have accepted their admission on JAMB CAPS and paid the acceptance fee will be cleared. If you fail to accept your offer before the deadline, your admission will be cancelled permanently.
- Whether you came in through UTME or Direct Entry, make sure all steps are completed before showing up for clearance. This is the only way to secure your place at Rivers State University.
