Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has announced the opening of its Inter-Departmental Transfer portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. The information was released in a statement from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) dated 6 February 2026. The transfer portal will be available from Tuesday, 10 February to Friday, 20 February 2026 for returning students who wish to change their academic programs.
Eligibility Requirements
The university management explained that students applying for transfer must meet the following conditions:
- Students seeking transfer to B.NSc. Nursing Science must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
- Students applying for transfer to other programmes must have at least a CGPA of 3.00.
- Students with low academic performance who have been advised by their departments to change programs are also allowed to apply.
Application Procedure
Interested students are required to submit their applications through the university portal after paying the necessary registration and application fees.
Note:
- The university noted that all transfer requests will be approved only after candidates meet the required conditions and receive recommendations from the Central Admission Committee.
- Deans and Heads of Departments have also been instructed to follow the approved inter-departmental transfer guidelines strictly.
