The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has officially commenced the sale of admission forms for its Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) program for the 2025/2026 academic session. This program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain Direct Entry admission into 200-level undergraduate programs at UNIABUJA and other Nigerian universities that recognize IJMB qualifications
📘 About the IJMB Program
The IJMB is a one-year (two-semester) advanced level programme designed to prepare students for university education. Upon successful completion, students can apply for Direct Entry admission into 200-level courses in various universities across Nigeria. The program is moderated by Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and is widely accepted by numerous tertiary institutions.

✅ Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the IJMB programme, applicants must:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in O’Level examinations (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE), including English Language and Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects.
- Note: Awaiting results are not accepted for this program.

Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the main UNIABUJA portal
- Click on start application
- Select Interim Joint Matriculation Board from this IJMB form link
- Fill in these fields:
- Surname
- First name
- Other names
- Phone number
- Click Next
- On the payment preview page, click Generate RRR
- Click Make Payment and go to Remita
- Enter ATM card details (MasterCard or Visa Card)
- After payment, the portal shows your application number
- The portal also sends this number to your phone by SMS
- You will be logged out
- Go to Main Login
- Enter your application number and surname to continue
- Complete and submit your form

Note: Additional fees for tuition, accommodation, and other charges will be communicated upon admission.
📅 Application Deadline
The deadline for the submission of applications is Saturday, 30th August 2025. Late applications will not be entertained

All fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal or dismissal from the program.
