This initiative follows the recent accreditation of three specialized nursing programs by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, underscoring BSUTH’s commitment to advancing healthcare education and addressing the growing demand for specialized nursing professionals in Nigeria.
📚 Available Post Basic Nursing Specialty Programs
BSUTH is offering the following accredited Post Basic Nursing Specialty Programs:
- Mental and Psychiatric Nursing – 18 months
- Nephrology Nursing – 12 months
- Ophthalmic Nursing – 12 months
These programs are designed to equip registered nurses with advanced skills and knowledge in their chosen specialties, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery in the region.
✅ Admission Requirements
Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate with a current practicing license.
- Obtain five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings. A combination of WAEC and NECO results is acceptable.
- Have a minimum of one (1) year post-qualification experience.
- Provide proof of employer approval for full-time participation in the program.
