Program Overview
The Anaesthetic Technician programme at UCH Ibadan is a comprehensive three-year course designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist anaesthesiologists in various medical settings. The curriculum encompasses a range of subjects, including:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Microbiology
- General Care of the Operating Theatre
- Anaesthetic Equipment and Patient Care
- Special Techniques in Anaesthesia
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Health Education
This structured program ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare sector, particularly in anaesthetic services.
Admission Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Applicants should be between 17 and 30 years old.
- Educational Qualifications: Five (5) credit level passes in SSCE (WASSCE, NECO, or GCE O-Levels) at no more than two sittings of the same examination body which include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Additional Advantage: A strong background in science subjects will be beneficial.
Training Fee: #200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only per year, including developmental levy.
Please Note: Institutions can sponsor candidates for the strictly non-residential training
Application Process
Interested applicants are required to obtain the admission form through the official UCH Ibadan portal. .
- Visit the UCH schools’ portal on https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and click REMITA PAYMENT button to make non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) — Only as application form.
- After successful payment, candidates are to sign up with his/her RRR, Email and Password used for the payment.
- Login with your Email and Password to continue the online application.
- Go to the portal on https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng, download the Applicants’ User Guide.
- Print 2 Copies of your form and photocard and bring them on the day of examination
