📚 Program Overview

The CHOTP at UCH Ibadan offers two distinct pathways:

  • Two-Year Program: Leading to a Higher Diploma in Community Health, this track is suitable for candidates with foundational qualifications and experience in community health.
  • One-Year Program: Tailored for candidates with advanced degrees and substantial experience, this accelerated track culminates in a Higher Diploma in Community Health.

✅ Entry Requirements

Educational Qualifications (Applicable to All Applicants):

Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit-level passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics)

These credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings from the same examination body (WAEC, NECO, or GCE O-Level) .

Professional Qualifications:

  • For the Two-Year Programme:
    • Diploma in Community Health with at least two (2) years of post-qualification experience.
    • Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) Certificate with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
    • Registration with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possession of a valid practicing licence.
  • For the One-Year Programme:
    • Qualification as a Community Health Extension Worker.
    • First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health, or an HND in Community Health.
    • Current practicing licence.

📝 Application Process

  1. Payment:
    • Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦20,000 through the UCH Schools Portal via REMITA.
  2. Registration:
    • Sign up using your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR), email, and password used for payment.
  3. Application:
    • Log in to the portal, download the Applicants’ User Guide, and complete the online application form.
  4. Submission:
    • Print two (2) copies of the completed application form and photocard.
    • Submit both copies at the examination center on the day of the entrance examination.
