JAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME First Session Arrival Time to 7:00AM

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made a small change to the timetable for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), especially for candidates in the first session.

According to the new update, candidates who are writing in the first session should now get to their examination centers by 7:00 AM instead of the earlier 6:30 AM that was first announced.

JAMB also explained that the newly adjusted timetable that applies from Monday to Thursday will also be used for Saturday examination sessions.

Updated First Session Time

  • Arrival Time: 7:00 AM (previously 6:30 AM)
  • Exam Start Time: 8:30 AM
  • Exam End Time: 10:30 AM

The board also made it clear that candidates do not need to reprint their examination slips, because the adjustment only affects the arrival time and does not change the other details already printed on the slip.
