This program offers aspiring midwives a comprehensive education, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience, to prepare them for successful careers in midwifery.

Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualifications: Obtain a minimum of five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. These credits should be acquired in no more than two sittings from recognized examination bodies such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
  • Certificate Authenticity: Possess the original certificates from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. Note that awaiting results are not accepted.
  • All required credits must be present in the NABTEB result if used.
  • Supporting Documents:
    • A testimonial from the secondary school attended.
    • A birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission, a government hospital, or an age declaration from a court.
    • An active and functional personal email address for correspondence.

Application Procedure

Interested applicants should follow these steps:

  1. Payment of Application Fee:
    • Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦15,500 into the school’s designated bank account:
      • Bank: Uzondu Microfinance Bank
      • Account Name: College of Nursing Sciences, Adazi-Nnukwu
      • Account Number: 1100635153
    • Ensure that the payment is made in the candidate’s name. Payments can be made via bank deposit, mobile banking apps, or POS machines.
  2. Documentation:
    • Indicate the program being applied for (e.g., Basic Midwifery) on the payment slip.
    • Upload the bank teller or transaction receipt as proof of payment.
  3. Submission:
    • Visit the official CONSA application portal to complete the application process.
    • Bring the proof of payment to the examination hall on the day of the entrance examination.

Important Considerations

  • Result Combinations: Candidates can combine results from WAEC and NECO. However, NABTEB results cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO results. If using NABTEB, all required credits must be obtained in a single sitting.
  • Examination Details: Applicants are advised to regularly check the official CONSA website or contact the admissions office for updates on examination dates and other pertinent information.

Embarking on a career in midwifery through the College of Nursing Sciences, Adazi-Nnukwu, offers a solid foundation for aspiring healthcare professionals. Prospective students are encouraged to adhere strictly to the application guidelines and submit all required documents promptly to ensure a smooth admission process.
