The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved three new full-time courses for the Federal University Kashere (FUK) in Gombe State. This approval came after a team of experts visited the school to check if it had enough staff, facilities, and resources to run the new programs.
In a letter sent to the Vice-Chancellor on 8th December 2025, the NUC confirmed that the new courses can officially begin in the 2025/2026 academic session.
The NUC also made it clear that the approval is only for full-time programs. If the university wants to run part-time versions later, it must apply separately.
The Commission added that the courses must keep their approved names, and any changes must be reported for approval. The university has also been advised to provide enough staff, equipment, and other resources to support these new programs.
