The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), through its College of Postgraduate Studies (CPGS), has officially announced the schedule for the Orientation and Matriculation ceremonies for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session. These events are designed to welcome new students into the university community and to provide essential guidance on academic expectations, campus resources, and university regulations.

According to an internal memorandum issued by the College Secretary, Mrs. Aisha Lawal, the Orientation Program is set to take place on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, while the Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 22 January 2026. Both events will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. The physical venue for these ceremonies is the Mallam Adamu Adamu Twin Lecture Hall on the main campus of the Federal University of Lafia. Students enrolled in online postgraduate programs are advised to participate virtually, ensuring that all new students, regardless of mode of study, are included in the orientation and matriculation activities.

The College has emphasized that all newly admitted postgraduate students must complete their registration prior to the matriculation ceremony. Completion of registration is a mandatory requirement for participation in both events, and students are encouraged to finalize all outstanding documentation, fees, and academic requirements ahead of time.

In conclusion, the memo called on all members of the university community, including faculty, administrative staff, and student bodies, to take note of these dates and to support the smooth and successful conduct of both ceremonies. The College of Postgraduate Studies reaffirmed its commitment to providing a welcoming and organized introduction to life at FUL, ensuring that new postgraduate students begin their academic journey fully prepared and well-informed.
