The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has opened admission for its 2025/2026 Pre-Degree (Basic) Program—a one-year intensive training designed to prepare candidates for entry into 100-level degree programs via JAMB.
Duration & Structure
- The program spans a full academic session, running from October 2025 to August 2026.
- Lectures begin on Monday, 20th October 2025
Eligibility
- Applicants must have at least five (5) O-Level credit passes, including English Language and subjects relevant to their intended field of study.
- Awaiting results are accepted, allowing students who have not yet received their results to apply.
- All candidates are required to take a written entrance exam. If accepted, a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦25,000 will be due.
- Please note: If you accept admission and later choose to withdraw, the school fees will not be refunded.

- To apply, go to the FUPRE Sub-Degree Portal.
- The application fee is ₦10,000 (non-refundable), payable online or via bank.
- Please ensure you complete the form thoroughly and submit it by the deadline. Note that the fee is non-refundable, so please verify all your details before you send it in.
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: 12:00am, Sunday, 14th September 2025.
- Entrance Examination: Thursday, 18th September 2025, 9:00 AM at ICT Building.
- Lecture Commencement: Monday, 20th October, 2025
