JAMB Mop‑Up Exam 2025: New Date Announced + Reprint Starts

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially scheduled the 2025 UTME mop-up exam for Saturday, 28 June 2025. This exercise offers a final opportunity for eligible candidates—especially those who missed the main UTME in April or the resit in May—to sit for the exam.

Who Qualifies?

  • 5,096 “spill-over” candidates whose biometric verification failed during the initial UTME.
  • 91,742 candidates who missed the main or rescheduled UTME sessions.
  • A total of 96,838 candidates have been cleared to participate, with another set kept on standby.

Examination Logistics

  • The mop-up exam will be held in 183 CBT centres nationwide.
  • First session starts at 8:00 a.m. Candidates are advised to arrive 1–1½ hours early to allow ample time for verification processes.
  • Eligible candidates can begin printing their exam notification slips from Monday, 23 June 2025, via the official JAMB portal.

Why the Mop‑Up Matters

  1. Second (and final) chance: It ensures no candidate is disenfranchised due to technical faults or absence—JAMB emphasizes fairness and inclusivity.
  2. Lesson from glitches: Following earlier biometric and system issues (notably affecting nearly 380,000 candidates in Lagos and the Southeast), JAMB’s transparency—led by Registrar Prof. Is‑haq Oloyede—resulted in a rescheduled mop‑up and widespread procedural reviews.
  3. Security measures: Over 113 CBT centres have been suspended or delisted for infractions or malpractice, reinforcing exam integrity.

3Plan your travel – Aim to arrive by 6:30–7:00 a.m. on 28 June.
