LASU Sets Deadline for Returning Students’ NIN Submission

Lagos State University (LASU) has released an important notice to all returning full-time undergraduate students about submitting their National Identification Number (NIN). Every student must now provide their NIN, as it helps the school keep accurate and verified student records.

The NIN is a key form of identification for all Nigerians. LASU will use it to confirm and update student information in its database to make sure all records are correct.

How to Submit Your NIN on the LASU Portal
  1. Go to the official LASU website.
  2. Click on the STUDENT tab and choose NIN Submission.
  3. Enter your matric number and course registration password, then click Login.
  4. Type in your NIN or edit it if it’s already there.
  5. Click Submit to finish.

The deadline for submission is Friday, October 24, 2025. Students have from Wednesday, October 22 to complete the process.

Anyone who fails to submit their NIN within the deadline might face issues with their student records or lose access to some online services.

Why LASU Needs Your NIN

According to the university, this process is part of its data verification project to ensure that all students have verified identities. This helps the school manage records better and stay aligned with national ID standards.

Students are strongly advised to submit their NINs immediately to avoid any interruptions in their academic activities.

Official Note:
LASU remains committed to keeping student information accurate and reliable. The university thanks all students for cooperating and completing the NIN submission as required.
