Lead City University, Ibadan, has introduced its iPGDE (Professional Diploma in Education) program for individuals who want to gain proper teaching qualifications or move into the education field.
One of the major benefits of this program is the optional registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). This allows successful graduates to obtain legal recognition to teach in Nigeria.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to different categories of applicants, including:
- School owners and school administrators.
- Current or aspiring teachers who do not yet have formal education qualifications.
- Holders of Master’s or PhD degrees who want professional training in teaching.
- Professionals with more than 10 years of work experience who want to move into the education sector.
- Teachers who have at least 10 years of consistent teaching experience.
Program Details
The iPGDE program is designed to be flexible and practical for participants.
- Duration: 6 months intensive program.
- Mode of Study: Blended learning, which includes both online and physical lectures, seminars, and teaching practice.
- Tuition Fee: ₦500,000. Staff of Lead City University are eligible for a 50% tuition discount.

Applications for the program started on March 2, 2026, while lectures are expected to begin on March 30, 2026. Interested applicants are advised to apply early as the number of available spaces is limited.
