The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, through its School of Health Information Management (SHIM), has announced the commencement of admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session. Applications are invited for both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs in Health Information Management.
Program Overview
The SHIM at UCH Ibadan offers comprehensive training in Health Information Management, preparing students for careers in managing patient records, health data analysis, and health informatics. The ND program spans two years, while the HND program also covers two years, both conducted on a full-time, non-residential basis.
Admission Requirements
National Diploma (ND) Program
Applicants must:
- Have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Possess five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/WAEC/NECO, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Physics or Chemistry
- Any other relevant subject
Higher National Diploma (HND) Program
Applicants must:
- Hold a National Diploma (ND) or Professional Diploma in Health Information Management.
- Possess a valid license certificate.
- Provide a letter of completion of Industrial Training (IT).
- Have the requisite O’Level credits as specified for the ND program.
Application Process
- Payment of Application Fee: ND applicants: ₦2,000 HND applicants: ₦10,000Payments should be made into the TSA ACCOUNT (TSA/UCH/SHIM/ADMISSION FORM) at any commercial bank.
- Access Code and CBT Fee:
- An additional ₦2,000 is required for the access code and Computer-Based Test (CBT) exercise.
- Receipt Conversion: Convert bank tellers into official receipts at the Cash Office of the Finance & Accounts Department, UCH.
- Online Application:
- Visit UCH Schools Portal.
- Use the access code obtained to complete the online application form.
- Print two copies of the completed application form and examination card.
- Submission: Submit the printed application form and examination card to the Administrative Office of the School.
