The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is now allowing students who want to change their course or move to another faculty to apply for a transfer for the 2025/2026 academic session. Maybe your current course doesn’t feel right, or you just want something new—UNILAG has opened the transfer form for you.
Sales of forms start on Monday, 21 July and end on Friday, 28 November 2025.
Eligibility
Not everyone can switch programs. You must meet these conditions:
- You must have finished 200 level by the end of the 2024/2025 session
- You must have at least a 1.00 CGPA
- You must have the correct O’Level or A’Level subjects for the course you want
- You must have your current result slip
If you didn’t attend classes or your grades are too low, this transfer option may not work for you.

From College of Medicine or Pharmacy →
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Education (Science, Tech & Vocational, Human Kinetics)
- Faculty of Social Science (Psychology)
From Faculty of Law →
- Faculty of Arts
- Faculty of Education (Arts, Social Sciences, Educational Foundations, Management)
From Engineering →
- Faculty of Management Sciences (Actuarial Science)
- Faculty of Education (Science or Technical Education)
- Faculty of Science (except Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geoscience, Microbiology)
From Faculty of Science →
- Faculty of Social Science (Psychology, Geography)
- Faculty of Management Sciences (Actuarial Science)
- Faculty of Education (Science or Technical Education)
- Faculty of Science (with the same exceptions)
From Faculty of Arts →
- Faculty of Education (Arts, Social Sciences)
From Social Sciences or Management Sciences →

- Faculty of Education (Science or Technical Education)
- Faculty of Science (except the four restricted courses)
How to Apply
Step 1: Check If You Qualify
Read the rules first. Make sure you meet the requirements before paying ₦20,000 for the form.
Step 2: Begin the Process Online
- Visit the UNILAG website
- Log in to your student portal
- Click on “Inter/Intra Faculty Transfer”
- Fill out the form
- Generate a Payment Advice with your RRR
- Pay the ₦20,000 fee at any commercial bank
Step 3: Go Back to the Portal
- Print the completed transfer form
- Attach these documents:
- O’Level or A’Level result
- Statement of result
- Form signed by your current and proposed HODs and Deans
- Make four copies and submit them to Academic Affairs, 6th Floor, Senate House, UNILAG
