The University of Malta is offering scholarships to support bright students from countries outside the European Union and EEA who may not be able to afford its Master by Research or PhD programs.
These scholarships are meant to reduce the cost of studying and help deserving students focus on their research without financial pressure.
Benefits
- Successful applicants can receive a tuition fee waiver of up to 100 percent.
- The waiver covers the normal length of the chosen program.
- However, if a student needs extra time to complete the program, the additional period may not be covered by the scholarship.
Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Have an unconditional offer of admission into a Master by Research or PhD programme at the University of Malta, either full-time or part-time
- Send an email to the University’s International Office requesting to be considered for a tuition fee waiver
Required documents
Applicants should be ready to provide:
- A copy of their admission (acceptance) letter
- A detailed CV
- A motivation letter explaining why they are applying
- A copy of their passport information page
How to apply
Interested applicants should follow these steps:
- Click on the application link to begin
- First apply for admission into a Master’s or PhD programme at the University of Malta
- Accept the admission offer
- Apply for the scholarship after accepting the offer
Requests for the scholarship must be sent within one month of receiving the unconditional admission letter. Deadlines are based on admission rounds ending on January 31, May 31, and October 31.
Applicants who meet the requirements will be invited to take part in an online interview with the scholarship selection board.
This scholarship gives international students a good chance to study at the University of Malta with little or no tuition cost.
