The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the 2026 National Gifted Examination for admission into JSS 1 at the Federal Government Academy, Suleja. The school is located in Suleja, Niger State, and is set up for gifted and talented children across Nigeria.
The examination will take place nationwide on Saturday, 23 May 2026. Interested candidates must complete their registration within the approved period.
About Federal Government Academy, Suleja
The Academy is known for nurturing gifted students. Learners admitted into the school enjoy a Federal Government scholarship, which covers tuition, external examination fees, accommodation, feeding, uniforms, and basic textbooks.
Eligibility
- Only pupils in their final year of primary school can apply.
- In addition, candidates must not be older than 11 years by December 2026.
Registration Fee
- The registration fee for the 2026 National Gifted Examination is ₦5,940 per candidate.
How to Register
NECO made it clear that registration is strictly online and can only be done through its official website. Parents, guardians, and head teachers are responsible for registering candidates on the NECO Gifted Examination portal.
Registration Steps
- Create an online account using a valid phone number and email address.
- Activate the account through the confirmation email sent before making payment.
- Pay the required fee into the NECO TSA using any of the approved payment methods (bank transfer is not advised).
- Fill in the candidate’s personal details and upload a passport photograph.
- Print out the photocard and keep it safe.

Registration Period
Registration begins on Monday, 5 January 2026, and ends on Saturday, 23 May 2026. The registration portal will close by 9:00 a.m. on 23 May 2026, and no further registration will be accepted after that time.
