YABATECH Moves Part-Time Academic Activities Online Due to Full-Time Exams

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has announced a temporary adjustment to academic activities for part-time students, moving all lectures and related engagements to online platforms due to the ongoing 2024/2025 Second Semester examinations for full-time students.

According to the institution, the full-time examinations are scheduled to run from Monday, 19 January to Friday, 30 January 2026. As a result, part-time academic activities will not hold physically on campus throughout this period.

Why YABATECH Moved Part-Time Activities Online

The college explained that the decision is directly linked to the conduct of the second semester examinations for full-time students, which require full use of campus facilities during the examination period.

To ensure smooth examination processes and maintain order on campus, management has directed that all part-time academic activities be conducted via available online channels.

What Part-Time Students Should Do

YABATECH made it clear that no part-time student is expected to be on campus until the full-time examinations are concluded.

Part-time students are therefore advised to:

  • Attend lectures and participate in academic activities through the designated online platforms
  • Stay away from the campus until the examination period ends, regardless of contrary information from unofficial sources
Notice to Part-Time Lecturers

The directive also applies to lecturers handling part-time programs. All teaching, communication, and academic engagements are to remain strictly online for the duration of the examination period.

Key Dates to Note
  • Full-time Second Semester Examinations: 19 January – 30 January 2026
  • Physical presence on campus for part-time students: Not permitted until after the examinations
