FUNAAB Post-UTME / Direct Entry Form — 2025/2026 Admission

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. As part of the admission process, all UTME and Direct Entry candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are expected to participate in the screening exercise within the stipulated period. This article provides a detailed guide on the eligibility requirements, application steps, deadlines, and other important information for prospective candidates.

Application Timeline

• The online application portal opens on Monday, 21st July 2025, and closes on Tuesday, 26th August 2025.
• Note: an extension has been granted—from the original closing date of 15th August to Tuesday, 26th August 2025. No further extensions may be granted.

Eligibility Criteria

UTME Candidates:

• FUNAAB must be selected as your first-choice institution in JAMB.
• A minimum UTME score of 160 marks is required.
• Applicants must possess five O’level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
• Subject requirements for specific faculties:
  • Agriculture, Engineering, Biological, Physical, Computing Sciences, Veterinary Medicine: five credits including English, Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (Agricultural Science may substitute Biology only for agriculture-related courses). Geography is required for Water Resources Management.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

• Must have a minimum of Upper Credit at ND or HND, or Credit at NCE; Lower Credit is not accepted.
• Must also possess at least two A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology/Zoology/Botany for related programs.
• Eligible applicants should have chosen FUNAAB in JAMB.
• DE candidates must submit their transcripts or certified statements of results (stamped by the Director/HOD) to the Registrar by 15 August 2025.

Available Programs & Cut-Off Marks

• Agriculture-related courses: 160 marks.
• Biological Science, Computing Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Food Science, Veterinary Medicine: 200 marks.
• Pure & Applied Botany/Zoology, Home Science, Hospitality & Tourism, Nutrition & Dietetics, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry: 180 marks.
• Library & Information Science, Cooperative Studies, Development Studies: starting at 160 marks.

How to Apply Online

1. Visit the FUNAAB Admission Portal and log in using your JAMB UTME or DE registration number.
2. Generate and print your application invoice, which includes the REMITA reference number for payment.
3. Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000, plus a portal access fee of ₦1,000, excluding REMITA charges. Payment can be made at any REMITA-enabled bank or via online banking/debit card
4. Return to the portal, log in, and complete the e-application form. Most personal data is pre-populated from JAMB and cannot be edited.
5. Upload your O’level results and, for DE candidates, your additional qualification records.
6. Review all information on the acknowledgment page, submit your application, and print the completed form with your passport photograph.
7. Corrections for wrongly entered data can be made online only before the deadline and attract a penalty of ₦1,500. After the deadline, no corrections are allowed.
8. Wrong uploads (e.g. incorrect results or documents) will lead to automatic disqualification. No complaints will be entertained afterward.

Part-Time Option

• Applicants can express interest in weekday evening (part-time) options if their course is available. More details are available on the FUNAAB Part-Time Portal .

Important After-Submission Notes

• Only fully completed applications submitted by the deadline will be considered.
• Claiming refunds if admission isn’t offered is not permitted—payments are non-refundable.
• Admitted candidates will receive their offers via JAMB CAPS and must accept their offers there to progress (implied as standard procedure).
