University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) Post-UTME/DE, 2025

The University of Abuja (also known as Yakubu Gowon University) has released the official guidelines for its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. Here’s what you need to know:

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the screening exercise, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. UTME Applicants:
    • Must have scored 180 or above in the 2025 UTME.
    • Must have selected University of Abuja as their first-choice institution in the UTME.
  2. Direct Entry (DE) Applicants:
    • Must have applied via approved DE routes (e.g., NCE, IJMB, ND, HND, first-degree).
    • Must upload both O’Level results and higher qualifications on the University portal and register for screening.
  3. General Requirements (for both UTME and DE):
    • Must possess at least five O’Level credit passes (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.
    • Applicants awaiting results need not register.
    • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
Registration Details

Registration Window:

  • Starts: Thursday, 14 August 2025
  • Closes: Friday, 5 September 2025

Registration Fee:

  • ₦2,000 (Two thousand Naira only), payable via Remita.
Step-by-Step Registration Process:
  1. Visit portal.uniabuja.edu.ng and click “Click here to apply.”
  2. Select Undergraduate on the left pane.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get details.”
  4. Fill in the basic information, ensuring a valid phone number and email address. Proceed to the next page.
  5. On the payment review page, click “Generate RRR,” which redirects to the Remita payment portal.
  6. Complete payment using an ATM card (MasterCard or Visa). Enter the OTP sent to your phone to confirm.
  7. After successful payment, click “Main Login,” use your JAMB reg number (username) and surname (password), then log into the dashboard.
  8. Complete and submit your application form. Print the registration form, payment receipt, and exam schedule for your records.
Payment Issue Solution:
  • In case of failed payment attempts but debited account, you can requery via the portal using your JAMB reg number to resolve.

Make sure you meet all the eligibility criteria—especially the minimum JAMB score and first-choice requirement—before starting. Register early to avoid last-minute glitches, and keep all your documents handy for a smooth process!
