SLU Post UTME/DE Screening Form for 2025/2026 Admission

Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin-Hausa, Jigawa State, has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. This screening is a mandatory step for candidates seeking admission into the university’s various undergraduate programmes across its faculties of Agriculture, Computing, Education, Humanities, Natural & Applied Sciences, and Social & Management Sciences. Both UTME and Direct Entry applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to register within the stipulated period.

Who Should Apply

UTME (JAMB Candidates)

  • Must have at least 5 credits (including Mathematics & English) in O-Level (SSCE), obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Should have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME, and if SLU wasn’t your first-choice, you need to change to SLU via JAMB within the registration window.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Must have:
    • At least Lower Credit in ND, or
    • Merit in NCE, or
    • 7 IJMB points
Course-Specific Cut-Offs

Courses across faculties (Agriculture, IT, Education, Sciences, etc.) have cutoffs ranging from 150 to 170 in UTME

Key Dates & Screening Fee
  • Registration opens: Monday, 11 August 2025
  • Registration closes: Midnight, Sunday, 14 September 2025
  • Screening Fee: ₦2,000 (plus Remita/Bank/Debit-Card charges)

Note: DE candidates must have a minimum of 7 IJMB points, not 8 as might be mistakenly stated elsewhere.

Registration Step-by-Step
  1. Visit admissions.slu.edu.ng → select UTME or Direct Entry.
  2. Log in with:
    • UTME: JAMB registration number & UTME score.
    • DE: DE reg. number, state of origin & gender.
  3. Upload profile picture (passport-sized).
  4. Enter O-Level results (max two sittings); upload scanned statements.
  5. DE candidates also upload A-Level results.
  6. Proceed to Payment:
    • Click Pay Now (card).
    • Or download payment schedule and pay via bank/Remita.
  7. After payment, generate & print the Acknowledgement Slip — PROOF of registration.
What to Bring on Screening Day

Upon successful screening and eventual admission, you should have:

  1. Printed Acknowledgement Slip
  2. Payment Evidence
  3. UTME Result/DE Slip
  4. SSCE Statements
  5. Two passport photos (white background)
  6. Indigene certificate
  7. Birth certificate/affidavit
  8. A-Level Statement (DE only)
Screening Venue & Date
  • The date for the physical screening or interview will be communicated later.
  • Venue: SLU permanent site, Kano-Jahun Road, Kafin-Hausa, Jigawa State. Report by 9:00 a.m. on your scheduled day.
Important Reminders
  • Missed registration = no consideration for admission.
  • Changing first-choice institution via JAMB Green Card must also occur 11 Aug – 14 Sep 2025.
  • Ensure JAMB O-Level details match what you upload on SLU’s portal.
  • Use clean, high-quality scans of credentials.
  • Queries should be directed to [email protected] or the official SLU portal.
Troubleshooting Tips
  • Login failed? Double check your credentials (UTME/DE number).
  • Payment issues? Use the bank schedule if remita is down.
  • O-Level upload errors? Convert scans to PDFs, ensure each file <2MB.
  • Portal glitches? Clear your browser cache or use another device.
