Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Announces Screening and Verification Dates for 2025/2026

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has announced the dates for screening and certificate verification for all students admitted for the 2025/2026 session. Every newly admitted student must take part in this process so the school can confirm their admission and records.

Screening Dates

The exercise will take place in two stages:

  • First phase: 1st–15th December 2025
  • Second phase: From 6th January 2026

Students are expected to attend the screening during the period given by the school.

Documents to Upload Online

Before going for the physical screening, students must log in to the ABU Post-UTME portal and upload clear copies of:

  • JAMB result slip (UTME)
  • JAMB admission letter
  • NIN slip
  • Indigene certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • O’level results or statement of results
  • A’level results (for Direct Entry students)
  • Attestation letter or affidavit (if available)

All uploads must be clear and readable.

Documents for Physical Screening

During the physical screening, students must bring:

  • Scratch cards or PINs used to check their O’level results
  • Original A’level certificates, or a certified true copy if the original is not ready

These documents help the school confirm that all information matches what is on the portal.

Portal Access, School Charges & Bed Space

Once screening begins, students will be able to:

  • Generate a REMITA to pay school fees
  • Print their ABU admission letter
  • Apply for a bed space on the portal

The university warns students not to sell, buy, or transfer bed spaces. Anyone caught will face penalties.

Support Contacts

For help or questions, students can call:

  • 07076806821
  • 08111465297
  • 09020017135

These steps help ABU verify students’ details and prepare them for the 2025/2026 academic session.
