Edo University offers postgraduate qualifications ranging from a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s Degrees (M.Sc., M.Eng., M.A., MPA, MBA), M.Phil., to Ph.D. across diverse faculties including Health Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, and Law.
General Admission Requirements
All applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Minimum of 5 credits at O’Level (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB), including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Application fee: ₦25,000.
Specific Program Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum Third Class) or
- HND or relevant professional qualification.
Master’s Degrees (M.Sc., M.Ed., etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Lower Division, or
- PGD with credit level, or equivalent professional qualification.
M.Phil.
- Master’s degree with a CGPA ≥ 3.0 / 50%.
Ph.D.
- M.Sc./M.A./MBA with CGPA ≥ 4.0 (60%), or
- Between 55–59% may join an M.Phil/Ph.D. track, with prescribed remedial courses as needed.
- Ph.D. applicants must also upload a concise research proposal (max 450 words).
