Edo University (Iyamho) Post‑UTME/Direct‑Entry (DE) Screening for 2025/2026 Admission

Edo University, Iyamho (formerly Edo State University, Uzairue), has commenced the sale of POST-UTME/Direct Entry Admission form for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

Eligibility Criteria

a. UTME Candidates

  • UTME Requirement: Candidates must have taken the 2025 UTME, scoring at least 180 (Edo University departmental cut-offs also apply).
  • O’Level Requirement: Minimum of 5 credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in a maximum of two sittings (Medicine & Surgery require O’Levels in one sitting).
  • Awaiting Results: Eligible to apply.

b. Direct‑Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Qualifications: Must hold Merit (NCE), Credit (OND/HND), or Degree, plus two A‑Level passes or equivalent (IJMB, JUPEB).
  • O’Level: Same basic requirement of 5 credits as for UTME DE applicants.

Application Process

Step 1: UTME Candidates

  1. Ensure you obtained at least 180 in the 2025 UTME.
  2. If Edo University wasn’t your first choice, apply to change institution via JAMB and choose Edo University as your preferred institution.
  3. Visit the Edo University admissions portal: edouniversity.edu.ng and complete the online screening form.

Step 2: DE Candidates

  1. Secure the appropriate DE/JAMB form.
  2. Fill out the online application on the university portal.
  3. Upload supporting documents: O’Level, NCE/OND/HND/Degree transcripts, and A-Level (if applicable).

Step 3: Pay Fees & Submit

  • Screening Fee: ₦2,000 for UTME/DE applicants.
  • Transfer Applicants: ₦60,000.
  • Submit the completed form and payment on the portal.

Step 4: Screening Exercise

  • All applicants must participate in the Post‑UTME/DE screening test, typically held at the main campus in Iyamho.
  • Pass mark for the screening test is 50%.

Step 5: Admission Consideration

  • Final selection is based on your UTME score, Post‑UTME/DE score, O’Level performance, and departmental cut-off marks.
