Kano College of Nursing Sciences 2025/2026 PGD Admission Form

Kano State College of Nursing Sciences, through its Center for Continuing Education and Consultancy Services, is now offering Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs for the 2025/2026 session. These programs are run in partnership with the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

These PGD courses are for nurses and other health workers who want to build on their first degree or HND and gain more knowledge in nursing and public health.

About the Center for Continuing Education
  • The Centre handles everything about the PGD programs.
  • It sells the forms, manages the online application portal and oversees the screening process.
  • All the programs are taught at the college, and UNIMAID awards the PGD certificates.
Available PGD Programs

The college offers the following PGD courses for 2025/2026:

  • PGD in Nursing Sciences
  • PGD in Nursing Education
  • PGD in Public Health Nursing
  • PGD in Maternal and Child Health (MCH)
  • PGD in Public Health
  • PGD in Health Planning and Management
  • PGD in Epidemiology and Disease Control

These courses focus on practical knowledge useful in hospitals, clinics, teaching environments and public health work.

Eligibility PGD Nursing programs

For the PGD in:

  • Nursing Sciences
  • Nursing Education
  • Public Health Nursing
  • Maternal and Child Health (MCH)

Applicants must:

  • Have a Degree or HND in Nursing
  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
  • Have at least five credit passes in Physics, English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry from approved exams
Eligibility for Other Health-Related PGDs

For the PGD in:

  • Public Health
  • Health Planning and Management
  • Epidemiology and Disease Control

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Degree or HND in any health-related field
  • Have at least five credits in Physics, English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry

This makes the programs open to many types of health professionals.

The application form costs N10,000.
