The Council of Legal Education has announced the official academic calendar for the 2025/2026 Bar Part II programme of the Nigerian Law School.
This calendar will be followed in all campuses of the school across the country. Students in Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yola, Yenagoa, and Port Harcourt will all use the same timetable for the session.

The academic schedule applies to the following campuses:

First Term Activities
The first term will begin with registration, induction, and mock trials, which will last for two weeks from Monday, 2 March to Friday, 13 March 2026.
Full lectures will start on Monday, 16 March 2026 and continue for nine weeks.
The Director-General will address students on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
The first “Bob Dinner” will hold for three days from Tuesday, 21 April to Thursday, 23 April 2026.
The second Bob Dinner will take place from Tuesday, 12 May to Thursday, 14 May 2026, and lectures will officially end on Thursday, 14 May 2026.
A pre-externship workshop will also hold on the same day, Thursday, 14 May 2026.
Second Term Activities
The second term will start with a short pre-externship break on Friday, 15 May 2026.
Students will then begin their court externship, which will run for five weeks from Monday, 18 May to Friday, 19 June 2026.
There will be a one-week mid-externship break from Monday, 22 June to Friday, 26 June 2026.
After that, students will proceed to the chambers externship for five weeks from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 31 July 2026.
A post-externship break will follow from Monday, 3 August to Friday, 7 August 2026.
Third Term Activities
The third term will begin with portfolio assessment from Monday, 10 August to Friday, 21 August 2026.
This will be followed by mock registry practice and participation in the NBA conference from Monday, 24 August to Friday, 28 August 2026.
Lectures will resume for six weeks from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 9 October 2026.
The third term Bob Dinner will hold from Tuesday, 13 October to Thursday, 15 October 2026.
Mooting and mock practice registry activities will take place between Monday, 12 October and Friday, 23 October 2026. These activities will include mooting exercises by the SRC Judicial Council, mock registry practice in areas such as Land matters, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Multi-Door Courthouse, Law Clinic, SRC Law Week, and mock trials.
The Bob Annual Lecture is scheduled for Thursday, 22 October 2026.
Revision week will run from Monday, 26 October to Friday, 30 October 2026.
The Bar Final Examinations will take place from Saturday, 31 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026.
Post-Bar final examination activities will continue for six weeks from Monday, 9 November to Friday, 18 December 2026.
Publication of Results and Call to the Bar
- The date for the publication of results has not yet been announced.
- The official Call to the Bar ceremony date will also be announced later.
- Students are advised to carefully follow the calendar and prepare properly for all academic and professional activities throughout the session.
