Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has announced that the orientation program for new students for the 2025/2026 session will not hold as earlier planned. The event was supposed to take place from Monday, 1st December to Friday, 5th December 2025, but the school has now postponed it. This update was shared in an official notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. Bayo Orukotan, on 28th November 2025.
According to the university, the orientation is an important activity because it helps new students understand how the school works. It is usually a time when freshers get introduced to their faculty, learn basic rules, meet officials, and get useful information that will help them settle into campus life. Because the program is meant to be well-planned and meaningful, the school wants to make sure everything is properly arranged before it takes place.
The management thanked all students for their patience and cooperation. They also assured freshers that a new date for the orientation program will be announced soon. Students are advised to stay calm, keep checking official school channels, and prepare ahead so they can fully benefit when the new schedule is released.
