University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Post Basic Nursing Admission Form 2025/2026

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) has officially commenced the sale of admission forms for its Post-Basic Nursing programs for the 2025/2026 academic session. These courses are designed for registered nurses aiming to advance their clinical expertise in key areas of healthcare delivery.

Available Specializations & Application Fees

Applicants can choose from the following Post-Basic Nursing specializations:

  • Critical Care Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
  • Ophthalmic Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
  • Perioperative Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
  • Paediatric Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
  • Accident and Emergency Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
  • Gerontology Nursing – ₦20,000

Each program is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills pertinent to the chosen specialty.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: Possess five (5) O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, obtained in not more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB.
  • Professional Registration: Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Clinical Experience: Have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in a relevant area of nursing.
  • Documentation: Submit clear, original scanned copies of required credentials during the application process.

Application Procedure

Interested applicants should follow these steps to apply:

  1. Online Application: Visit the official UBTH College of Nursing portal to access and complete the online application form.
  2. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable application fee via Remita, selecting UBTH TSA as the payment beneficiary.
  3. Submission of Documents: Upload the completed application form along with all required supporting documents, including educational certificates, RN license, and evidence of clinical experience.

Ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and legible to facilitate the screening process.

  • Application Deadline: Friday, 29 August 2025
  • Entrance Examination: Details regarding the exam date, time, and venue will be communicated to shortlisted candidates following the initial screening.
