The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the dates for its orientation and matriculation ceremonies for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The schedule applies to all academic programs and covers both first-year and Direct Entry students across all UNICROSS campuses.
Who the Notice Applies To
This announcement is specifically for:
- newly admitted first-year students, and
- newly admitted Direct Entry students,
for the 2025/2026 academic session across the UNICROSS system.
All students within these categories are expected to take note of the dates and comply fully with the university’s directives.
UNICROSS Orientation Date (All Campuses)
The university has fixed Monday, 19 January 2026, as the date for the orientation programme. UNICROSS stated that the orientation will hold simultaneously across all its campuses. Students are therefore advised to pay close attention to timing and campus-specific arrangements, as the orientation date applies to the entire university system and not to any single campus alone.
UNICROSS Matriculation Dates by Campus
UNICROSS has announced different matriculation dates for its campuses as follows:
Calabar Campus
- Matriculation for students of the Calabar Campus is scheduled for Thursday, 29 January 2026.
Ogoja Campuses
- Matriculation for students in the Ogoja Campuses will take place on Friday, 30 January 2026, a day after the Calabar ceremony.
Fees and Registration Requirements
The university emphasized that newly admitted students must meet the following conditions before they can be allowed to matriculate:
- full payment of their school fees for the session, and
- completion of registration in their respective departments.
These requirements are mandatory and form part of the eligibility criteria for matriculation.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
UNICROSS has warned that any student who fails to pay the required fees or complete registration before matriculation will forfeit their admission. Students are therefore strongly advised to treat this directive as a strict deadline and ensure full compliance to avoid losing their admission.
