University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Orientation Program for 2025/2026 First-Year Students

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced the schedule for its orientation program for duly registered first-year students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The orientation is planned as a one-day event and will take place at a designated venue and time. All eligible students are expected to attend and participate fully, as the program is an official university activity.

Orientation Date

  • The orientation program has been fixed for Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
Orientation Time

Proceedings will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Students are advised to arrive early, as late entry may disrupt seating arrangements and the smooth conduct of the program.

Orientation Venue
  • The venue for the orientation is the New Convocation Arena, University Park (Abuja Campus).
Who Should Attend
  • The program is strictly for duly registered first-year students of the University of Port Harcourt for the 2025/2026 academic session.
  • Students within this category are expected to treat the orientation as a formal campus event rather than a casual gathering.
What to Expect

According to the university, the orientation will provide first-year students with an opportunity to:

  • interact with key university officials and receive important information on rules and regulations guiding student life;
  • ask questions and seek clarification on issues of interest during the session.

Students are therefore encouraged to come prepared with questions, as interaction and engagement are integral parts of the program.

UNIPORT has emphasized that attendance at the orientation is mandatory for all first-year students. Participants are expected to take part actively in the discussions, and absence from the program is not permitted.
