The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially released its admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal.
All candidates who applied for admission into the university are advised to check their admission status and either accept or reject the offer on the JAMB CAPS platform immediately.
How to Check UNIPORT Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
Follow these simple steps to confirm your admission status:
- Visit the JAMB CAPS portal.
- Log in using your registered email address and password.
- Select “Check Admission Status” under the Admission tab.
- Click on “Access my CAPS”.
- Then click “Admission Status” to see if you have been offered admission.
- If admitted, click “Accept Admission” to confirm your spot or “Reject” if you wish to decline.
Candidates are also encouraged to print their JAMB Admission Letter immediately after accepting the offer.
Next Steps for Admitted Candidates
Successful candidates are to proceed with the following:
- Log in to the UNIPORT student portal to check further admission instructions.
- Pay the acceptance fee within the stated deadline.
- Complete all necessary online registration and screening processes as directed by the university.
Candidates whose admission status is still showing “Not Admitted” are advised to keep checking, as more names may be released in subsequent batches.
Important Note
- Admission offers will continue to appear in batches on JAMB CAPS as the university uploads more names.
- Only candidates who meet the UNIPORT departmental cut-off marks and admission requirements will be considered.
- Ensure that you upload your O’Level results on the JAMB portal if you haven’t already done so, as failure to do this can delay or prevent admission confirmation.
