📚 Program Overview
The CHOTP at UCH Ibadan offers two distinct pathways:
- Two-Year Program: Leading to a Higher Diploma in Community Health, this track is suitable for candidates with foundational qualifications and experience in community health.
- One-Year Program: Tailored for candidates with advanced degrees and substantial experience, this accelerated track culminates in a Higher Diploma in Community Health.
✅ Entry Requirements
Educational Qualifications (Applicable to All Applicants):
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit-level passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics)
These credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings from the same examination body (WAEC, NECO, or GCE O-Level) .
Professional Qualifications:
- For the Two-Year Programme:
- Diploma in Community Health with at least two (2) years of post-qualification experience.
- Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) Certificate with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
- Registration with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possession of a valid practicing licence.
- For the One-Year Programme:
- Qualification as a Community Health Extension Worker.
- First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health, or an HND in Community Health.
- Current practicing licence.

- Registration:

- Print two (2) copies of the completed application form and photocard.
