Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in O’Level examinations (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Additional subject requirements vary depending on the chosen course. For instance:
- Marine Engineering: Physics and Chemistry are compulsory.
- Nautical Science: Geography is required.
- Shipping Management: Economics is essential.
- Have a valid JAMB result (optional but beneficial for institution change).
- Note: The JAMB cut-off mark for SMA is 100. Applicants can apply with or without a JAMB score.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
