Nile University of Nigeria Scholarships & Discounts — 2025/2026 Academic Year

Nile University of Nigeria (Abuja), a private multidisciplinary university established in 2009, is committed to rewarding both academic and athletic excellence. As part of its financial aid strategy, NILE offers scholarships and tuition discounts to successful applicants entering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Undergraduate Scholarships (Exclude Law & Medicine)

Applicants to undergraduate programs—excluding Law and Medicine—are eligible for merit-based scholarships determined by their admission test performance:

JAMB Score-Based Scholarships:
  • JAMB 330+ with 5 A1s in WAEC/NECO: 100% tuition scholarship
  • JAMB 300–329: 30%
  • JAMB 275–299: 20%
  • JAMB 250–274: 10%
WAEC/NECO O-Level-Based Scholarships:
  • 5 A1s, including Math, English, and relevant subject combinations: 10% scholarship
    (Only internal results from the same year of issuing are accepted; external or combined year results are invalid.)
A-Level Score-Based Scholarships:
  • From NILE’s School of Preliminary Studies (SPS):
    • 3 A’s → 25%
    • 2 A’s → 15%
  • From other institutions:
    • 3 A’s → 20%
    • 2 A’s → 10%
Postgraduate Scholarships

If you’re a graduate of Nile University applying for a postgraduate degree (Master’s or PGD), you’re eligible for tuition reductions:

  • First-class NILE alumni: 50% scholarship
  • Second-class upper and others: 20–40%, depending on degree class (usually 20%–40%)
Sports Scholarships

High-performing athletes—especially national or professional level contenders—can qualify for up to 100% tuition coverage for undergraduate study, provided they agree to represent NILE in competitions. This award requires approval from the university’s Board of Trustees.

Tuition Discount Structure (Non-Scholarship)
Sibling Discount:

Parents with multiple children enrolled at Nile University may be eligible for tuition discounts:

  • 2 children: 5%
  • 3 children: 10%
  • 4 children: 15%
  • 5+ children: 20%
    (Must share a biological parent and apply formally)
Parent Discount:

Parents of current Nile University undergraduate or postgraduate students enrolling in a postgraduate program receive a 10% discount.

Group Sponsorship Discounts:

Institutional sponsors enrolling multiple students can access:

  • 5–10 students → 10%
  • 11–20 students → 15%
  • 21+ students → 20%
General Conditions & Rules
  • Scholarships and discounts are only valid for first-year entrants—they cannot be applied retrospectively or for later years.
  • Applicants must present examination results from the same academic year of admission; combining results across years is not allowed.
  • Hostel, accommodation, and other fees are not covered by scholarships or discounts.
  • Recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 to continue enjoying the scholarship. Misconduct can lead to withdrawal.
  • Scholarships are limited in number and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Applicants eligible under more than one scholarship/discount must choose the single best option—they cannot combine multiple offers.
How to Apply
  1. Apply for admission via the university portal.
  2. Submit exam results (JAMB, WAEC/NECO, A‑Level) during registration.
  3. Indicate or attach supporting documentation for sports, sibling, or sponsor criteria if applicable.
  4. Ensure early application—scholarships run on a quota basis.
  5. Confirm award details during admission or orientation sessions.
