The Long Empowerment Foundation has officially opened its 2025 scholarship cycle aimed at helping promising, low-income Nigerian youth—undergraduates, OND/HND students, secondary pupils—in overcoming financial barriers to education.
Who Is Eligible?
Depending on your education level, eligibility criteria include:
1. Undergraduate & OND/HND Students
- Age: 16–26 years.
- Admission: For new students, proof of admission (JAMB result ≥ 200, WAEC with ≥ 5 credits); for ongoing students, cumulative CGPA ≥ 3.5 (on 5.0).
- Family income: Yearly total under ₦3 million; applicants must provide financial need evidence via bank statements or bursar’s recommendation.
- Leadership/community engagement is also desired.
2. Secondary School Students (JSS1–SS3)
- Age: 10–19 years.
- Must demonstrate strong academic performance, ideally top 20% of class; SS3 candidates need at least 5 credits in first‑term SS1 exam.
- Evidence of financial hardship and teacher recommendations are required.
3. WAEC/JAMB Exam Support for SS3 Students
- Age: 15–19 years, currently in SS3, enrolled in public or low-cost private schools; demonstrate inability to cover fees.
Scholarship Benefits
- Undergraduate/OND/HND: Up to ₦350,000 per academic year covering tuition, accommodation, living stipends, and learning resources.
- Secondary School: Full support for up to 6 years—tuition, accommodation, exam fees.
- WAEC/JAMB Support: Funding exam registration expenses.
