NYSC Announces Supplementary Online Registration for Newly Uploaded Prospective Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released a fresh update about the mobilization process for the current service year. The scheme announced that a supplementary online registration window has been opened for some Prospective Corps Members (PCMs).

This special registration period is meant for candidates whose names were recently added to the Senate list, as well as those who were unable to complete the earlier registration exercise. The NYSC explained that this short window will allow such candidates to finish their registration and take part in the next stage of the mobilisation process.

Registration Dates

Eligible candidates should take note of the official registration dates released by NYSC:

  • Registration begins: Thursday, 9 April 2026
  • Registration ends: Saturday, 11 April 2026

This means the registration exercise will last for three days only. All affected Prospective Corps Members are advised to use this opportunity and complete their registration within the stated period.

Who Should Register During this Window

The supplementary registration is mainly for:

  • PCMs whose names were recently uploaded to the Senate list
  • Candidates who missed the earlier registration exercise
  • PCMs who have not yet completed their online registration

These candidates are expected to log in to the NYSC portal, complete their profiles, and carry out their biometric capture before the portal closes.

Important Preparation for PCMs

To avoid delays during the registration process, candidates are advised to prepare all required documents ahead of time. This will help them complete the process quickly once the portal opens.

Some of the important items to prepare include:

  • A clear passport photograph
  • Valid means of identification
  • Other required registration details on the NYSC portal

Preparing these documents early will make the registration process smoother and help candidates avoid mistakes.

Follow NYSC for Updates

For more information and updates about the mobilisation exercise, the NYSC advised candidates to follow their official social media pages. These platforms provide announcements, guidelines and quick responses to common questions from Prospective Corps Members.

The verified NYSC handles include:

  • X (Twitter): @officialnysc and @officialnyscng
  • Instagram and Threads: @officialnyscng
  • TikTok: @nyscofficial
  • YouTube: NYSC DHQ

Prospective Corps Members are encouraged to stay updated and complete their registration within the given time. Doing this will help them avoid missing the upcoming NYSC orientation exercise and allow them to begin their national service without delay.
