Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) in Port Harcourt has shared its First Batch Admission List for the 2025/2026 school year. This list was published on the university’s website on September 16, 2025.

What This Means

This First Batch Admission List includes students who applied through UTME Merit and, possibly, Direct Entry. These students have met the admission requirements set by IAUE.
Students who are successful have been given provisional admission. They need to do a few more things, like clearance and acceptance, to confirm their admission.

How to Check Your Admission Status

If you want to check if you’ve been admitted, follow these steps:

Log in to your JAMB CAPS portal using your registration details.
Click on “Check Admission Status”.
Go to “Access my CAPS” to see if IAUE has offered you a spot.

To send an SMS with the phone linked to your JAMB profile, do this:

Type your JAMB registration number.
Leave a space.
Write ACCEPT or REJECT.
For example: 202551991244FA ACCEPT.
Send this to 55019 or 66019.

If you are admitted, you need to ACCEPT the offer through CAPS or using the SMS code provided.

Important Next Steps for Admitted Students

Acceptance Fee: Students who are admitted should pay the acceptance fee when it’s available.
Clearance/Registration: After payment, IAUE will tell admitted students how to complete their departmental or faculty clearance.
Document Verification: Admitted students should have their O’Level scores, UTME results, birth certificates (or age declarations), and other necessary documents ready and valid.
Deadlines: Students have four weeks from the publication date to complete this process. For this batch, that means by October 14, 2025.

Advice for Those Still Waiting

Keep checking your JAMB CAPS status, as there will be more batches (second, third, supplementary) coming soon.
Make sure your O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS and that all your application documents are complete. Missing documents can slow down or stop your admission.
