UI Undergraduate Hostel Application for 2025/2026 Session Begins

The Student Affairs Division of University of Ibadan has opened applications for accommodation in the undergraduate halls of residence for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Fresh students and final-year undergraduate students can apply for hostel spaces through the university accommodation portal from February 17 to February 23, 2026. Only students who complete their application within this period will be considered for hostel allocation.

Other returning undergraduate students (who are not in their final year) and postgraduate students will be allowed to apply later.

How to Apply for Accommodation

Students should log in to the Student Affairs portal and click the “Hall” button on their dashboard. After that, select “Hall Application” and fill in the required form.

Applicants must upload:

  • A recent passport photograph with a white background (not more than 1MB)
  • Next-of-kin details
  • Accommodation history
  • Information about any health challenges

Returning students must confirm their Jaja registration status. Only those whose registration is verified in the university database can continue with the application. Fresh students do not need to provide Jaja registration details.

Students should click the “Submit” button after completing the form and check the “Hall Allocation” page regularly for updates from the Hall Warden.

Payment and Room Allocation

When the Hall Warden approves an application, the student’s status will change from “Registered” to “Accepted.” The student must then pay the Hall Fee and Basic Hall Dues through the university portal.

  • Basic Hall Dues are compulsory
  • Optional Hall Dues are not compulsory

After payment is confirmed, the status will change to “Paid,” and the Hall Warden will assign a room.

Students must print their Accommodation Slip and Hall Identity Card in colour before collecting their room keys. Keys will only be given after these documents are presented.
